Running a business is more than just creating products, making sales, and managing logistics. For me, it’s a calling. My faith in Jesus isn’t something I tuck away for Sundays or reserve only for church—it’s woven into every part of who I am and what I do, including my business, S&E Natural Soaps LLC.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:18, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” This scripture shapes the way I approach my life and my work. I believe God has given me the ministry of reconciliation—not only to help reconcile people to Him through Christ, but also to show reconciliation in daily living, in relationships, and even in business.
Business as a Ministry
When I create a soap bar, oil, or balm, I’m not just thinking about ingredients and packaging. I’m thinking about the people who will use them—their skin, their confidence, their well-being, and their soul. My business is an opportunity to minister in a unique way. Every order is a chance to encourage someone, to remind them of their worth, and to point them toward the peace and healing that comes from God.
I see business as ministry because it allows me to meet people where they are. Not everyone will step into a church building, but they may pick up a handmade product created with care and prayer. Through my work, I can extend love, truth, and grace in a way that feels personal and genuine.
The Ministry of Reconciliation in Business
Reconciliation means restoring brokenness—making peace where there has been separation. In my business, this looks like:
Restoring confidence for those who struggle with skin conditions.
Bringing peace of mind by offering natural, trustworthy products.
Building community through genuine care for my customers and their families.
Pointing people to Christ by living out my faith openly and unapologetically.
For me, reconciliation is not only about skincare—it’s about soul care. When people interact with me or my business, I want them to experience a glimpse of the love of Christ, whether they realize it right away or not.
Living Out Faith Through Work
There’s a lot of pressure in business to separate faith from professional life, but I believe the opposite is true for me. My faith gives me integrity. It guides my decisions. It helps me show compassion in customer service, patience in setbacks, and gratitude in growth.
My business is not just my livelihood—it’s my testimony. It’s proof that God can take a small idea, bless it, and use it for His glory. Every product, every event, every conversation is an extension of the ministry of reconciliation He has placed in my hands.
Closing Thoughts
I involve my belief in Jesus in my business because I can’t separate who I am from what I do. Jesus has reconciled me to God, and now I get to live out that reconciliation in every area of life. My business is a platform to serve, encourage, and share His love in ways that touch both body and spirit.
As Colossians 3:23 reminds us: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” That’s the heartbeat of my business—it’s all for Him.
